Remove a Domestic Partner
If your domestic partnership has ended, your partner is no longer eligible for benefits and must be removed from your coverage.
What This Event Means

Coverage cannot continue once the partnership has ended, even if you remain in contact or continue to live together.
What This Includes
- Removing your domestic partner from medical, dental, and other benefits
- Reviewing your current benefit elections
When a Domestic Partnership Ends
This may include:
- Separation or end of the relationship
- No longer meeting eligibility requirements outlined in the certification
- Changes in living arrangements or shared financial responsibility
If you are unsure whether your situation qualifies, contact AskHR@utah.edu before submitting changes.
When NOT to Use This Event

In that situation, use the Gain of Other Coverage event instead.
