Edible Campus Garden
The Office for Sustainability Education’s Edible Campus Gardens program engages the campus through garden-based education and urban food production to foster environmental stewardship, community resilience, and belonging on campus. The Edible Campus Gardens create a living, learning laboratory environment on campus. During the growing season, we harvest a wide variety of vegetables and greens to donate to the Feed U Pantry. Since 1996, our gardens have been a resource for the campus community to receive fresh produce, conduct research, and facilitate sustainable gardening practices. We welcome folx from across campus to get involved with us!
Participating in gardening activities has been shown to improve mood and mental health, reduce stress, improve quality of life and physical health, and contribute to overall wellness.
