Join us in celebration of our amazing University of Utah, Huntsman Cancer Institute, and U of U Health employees at this year's Employee Appreciation Day (EAD), taking place on Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 10 am - 2 pm at Rice-Eccles Stadium. All faculty, staff (including student staff) are invited to attend.
Please bring your cell phone and your CIS login credentials! Use your cell phone camera to capture the registration QR code found on signage located near entrance gates. Enter your CIS credentials to confirm your employment status and enter the event! An alternative method of entry is available to those without a cellphone.
HOW TO GET TO EAD – TRAX, SHUTTLES & MORE!
Scanning your Ucard and hopping on the TRAX red line for a free ride is the best way to get to EAD this year! All University of Utah employees ride for free on TRAX (and UTA bus routes!). The Red Line will bring you directly to Stadium Station located just west of the stadium. Use UTA’s website to plan your TRAX journey!
There are two special EAD campus shuttles routes in place to help both our guests and employee volunteers to the event: the BSB/Downtown/Hospital Shuttle and the Research Park Shuttle. Shuttles will be running from 9:30 am through 2:00 pm on the event day.
Parking options are extremely limited for EAD, so we highly suggest our guests and volunteers utilize TRAX or campus shuttles to get to the event. For more information on which parking lot are offering first-come first-served moratoriums, please visit the "How to Get to EAD" tab on the EAD website.

- The grandparents are in! Get free advice and elderly wisdom from members of the Emeriti Association.
- Take a tour of the Feed U Pantry Van and participate in a service project!
- Bring your wallets and shop the market for handmade wares created by University employees at the Crafters’ Corner Market. Shops will feature pottery, jewelry, artwork, and more!
- Challenge your colleagues to a round of pinball or four player Pac-man at our new Arcade Zone!
- Browse books, DVDs, and other donated media items and pick out a free souvenir at Hooked on Books!
- Field activities, including football field goal kick, yard games, inflatable basketball toss and Putting with the Police!

This special day is a meaningful opportunity to recognize and celebrate the incredible individuals who care for our patients, support our employees, and strengthen our communities—especially those who are unable to attend the campus stadium EAD event.
